“Beautiful, isn’t it?”
Laura jumped, smashing her head back. She glared as Aiden slipped silently through the brush nearby to lean against the trunk.
“Are you always so sneaky?” She blurted. He always seemed to bring out the worst in her.
Aiden just shrugged. “I had an…interesting childhood.”
“What does that mean?”
“That to be safe, I had to be invisible. And if I was seen, I never gave over everything. A part of me was secured away, safe from harm.”
“So you never let anyone get to know the real you.”
“No, I am a stranger, even to myself.”

This week’s song, courtesy of Deb at Day In Day Out is Billy Joel’s The Stranger. I’m continuing on with Laura and her mysterious new friend Aiden. This follows after Mists.

The mischief in Aiden is appealing to me, as a character of course! (tilts her own halo slightly to the left to hide any potential bondo patches). Nicely done Carrie.

Poor Laura. I really want him not to be taking advantage of her! I want him to be out there LOOKING for her when she’s trapped in that attic

How do you know she is going to be trapped in an attic? I think JQ is getting advanced copies of Laura’s Story!

I think JQ has a better memory for the scenes already posted
