Change…is good. I’ve been feeling a need for change for a while now. So you might notice some things are different.
One of the biggest is obviously the blog’s name. When I began this blog it was a real mish-mash of items. Personal posts, reviews, some creative writing occasionally. Through the past two years I’ve been posting here it has gradually shifted to predominantly my fiction space with book reviews thrown in.
Views From Nature wasn’t cutting it as a title anymore. I don’t think it reflects the content anymore and my own personal attachment to it is non-existent. I briefly considered going back to my old blog name but in my mind that name was firmly associated with my family blog and that isn’t the purpose of this space.
Creative writing, reading, the process to being published…those are the things that I’m interested in when it comes to my blog.
So, welcome to The Muse Unleashed. You might notice the domain is different (or not since the old domain will redirect here until August 19). I hope you will update your bookmarks to the new domain and if you currently subscribe by email you will resubscribe through the new domain. As far as I understand, after the 19th you will no longer receive notifications about posts.
I’m still playing around with layouts and what will stay and what will go. I hope you like the new look.

Hey… how did I miss this??? Well, it explains away my confusion when I came across a strange blog with a familiar face and familiar, excellent as always, storytelling… talking about a golden egg. I always wondered about ‘Views of Nature’… sounds more like a tree hugger blog. But then, I didn’t know our Carrie was called Nature Girl! I like the looks and sound of this new space, and I’d better hurry and subscribe… I would hate to miss out on what becomes of poor little pregnant Laura.

I think you will be safe if you used the WordPress “follow” option as opposed to actually subscribing by email. The follows don’t seem to be affected by the switch….of course I guess we really won’t know until the 19th when the old domain gets switched off the site

I think it is just the people who aren’t on wordpress who subscribed via email that it will affect.
